June summary

12 juli 2018 - Mora, Zweden

By now, we're almost halfway our third -and last- month of our trip, but haven't had the time to write our June summary yet, so here it finally is:

- We've covered a total of 7529 km in the last two months, meaning a total of 4149 km in June.

- We've crossed 3 international borders and have been in 2 different countries.

- Over two months, we've been in the car for 129 hours and 29 minutes; only in June, we've spent 65 hours in the car. This is comparable to the May hours, although the distance has increased by more than 20 %. Thanks to the Swedish supreme roads! (Never thought we would say that, coming from the Netherlands and Belgium, but compared to Norwegian roads...).

May and June travel distance and time

- We've stayed at 14 different places in June, of which 9 campings and 5 private adresses.

- We've had some additional breakdowns: the door lock of the caravan came loose from the door, the dust bin mounted on the caravan door broke, our navigation system looses its back lighting every now and then (leaving us to navigate on spoken commands only; luckily 'continue for 129 km' is not that hard to understand!') and our 'temporary' licence plate is in quite bad shape by now (no police control so far).

- We've lost a lot of dust!

- We've had a lot of rainy days, especially in Lofoten, Västerålen, Kiruna and Luleå (totally wet Mid Sommar), that will make the people in the south of Sweden jealous!

- We've taken 916 pictures and made 100 movies (about 20 % less compared to May: lost interest, or less interesting environment? ;-)

- We didn't have any sicknesses at all!

- Ilan and Gwyn did their first stage performance and it was hilarious and pretty good as well!

- We used slightly more than 1 bottle of gas due to the colder weather :-(

- We've catched 4 fish, of which we ate 1!

- We suffered a delay in our blog of soon one month... Sorry for that!

- We had some television time: the soccer world championship of which we followed some Belgian games via radio and some on camping televisions, and the Swedish games of which we followed a few in big cities!

Wat gaat de tijd toch snel. Inderdaad nog maar twee en een halve week en het is al voorbij. Mooie belevenissen en mooie herinneringen straks. Geniet nog van jullie laatste weken. 😘😘
